Experience
Alan was born in Cape Town and has studied and taught in the UK and USA. He is married and has three children.
Alan completed school during the height of the apartheid era. Overcoming the obstacles he faced as a man of colour he was able to obtain work in the engineering file for 10 years rising to a senior
manager position. He subsequently became a university lecturer and deepened his studies in the Behavioural Sciences and Religion.
For the past 5 years Alan’s academic interests shifted to leadership studies and he became involved in directing a MA in Organisational Leadership run in Africa by Eastern University, USA. In between
coaching assignment he still enjoys teaching on this programme.
Since the beginning of 2003 Alan has focussed on leadership development with a special emphasis on coaching as an intervention.
